Fady I. Sharara, M.D., FACOG
Fady I. Sharara, M.D., FACOG, is a Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist/Infertility specialist, and a Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist. He is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, and has been consistently voted one of the Top Doctors in Infertility by the Washington Post magazine, Washingtonian magazine, and Northern Virginia magazine, among others. Dr. Sharara is a reviewer for Fertility and Sterility, Human Reproduction, the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Human Fertility, Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics. He has published more than 70 scientific papers and book chapters dealing with Infertility and Assisted Reproductive Technologies He received his B.S. in Chemistry in 1982, and his M.D. in 1986 from the American University of Beirut. He was on the Dean's honor list during his premedical and medical studies. He then completed his residency in OB/GYN at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC, USA, in 1991, followed by a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from 1991 to 1994 at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. He moved to Chicago where he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois and Michael Reese Fertility Center between 1994 and 1996. He then returned to the University of Maryland where he was Assistant Professor and head of the IVF program from 1996 to 2000. He was promoted to Associate Professor before his departure from the University of Maryland. Dr Sharara then became the founder and Medical Director for the Virginia Center for Reproductive Medicine (VCRM) in Reston, VA, and has been Clinical professor in the OB/GYN department at George Washington University in Washington, DC since 2007.
Gus Haddad, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Gus Haddad is the medical director at Houston Fertility Institute. He obtained his medical degree from the American University of Beirut, where he became a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. After his residency, Dr. Haddad went on to complete his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology, as well as reproductive endocrinology-infertility and also serves as assistant clinical professor at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas. Dr. Haddad joined Houston Fertility Institute to help cope with the rapidly expanding fertility practice in the Houston metropolitan area. He has authored multiple book chapters and peer reviewed articles, as well as presented original research in the field of infertility at national meetings.
Mostafa Abuzeid, M.D., FACOG, FRCOG
Dr. Mostafa Abuzeid is an outstanding expert in his field. With more than a hundred peer review papers, abstracts and published book chapters, he is a renowned researcher. He is also a prominent presenter and speaker both national and international. He is known for his excellent clinical experience with an outstanding bedside manner and with an amazing care for patient satisfaction. Dr. Abuzeid is also a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and he is Board-certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is also board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Great Britain. Furthermore, he is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), as well as a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in London, United Kingdom. Dr. Abuzeid began his medical career when he graduated with honors from Cairo University Medical School. After medical school, he completed a residency training in the United Kingdom and a residency program at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He has also completed a fellowship program in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Abuzeid started his career in the field of infertility at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. In 1989, he came to the United States as an expert in the field of infertility to Flint, Michigan. He founded and established the In-Vitro Fertilization Center at Hurley Medical Center under the name, "The Center for Reproductive Medicine" in June 1990. In 1994 "The Center for Reproductive Medicine" was ranked among the top 10 fertility clinics in the United States by U.S. News & World Report (U.S. News & World Report, 12/3/94). Soon after, Dr. Abuzeid opened an additional facility called "The Center for Reproductive Medicine" in the city of Rochester Hills. In the year 2000, he co-founded IVF Michigan in Rochester Hills. Dr. Abuzeid has been in practice in the field of infertility for over 30 years. He not only is a clinician, but also an academician as he works closely in training new physicians from local universities in the field of Reproductive Medicine. He is a Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Hurley Medical Center, Flint, Michigan and a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Flint Campus. He is a Medical Director of IVF Michigan Rochester Hills and Flint.
